About

I am fascinated with the lives that people experience, as well as the collective experience of the world. Every life, every story is interesting in its own way and full of action, or non-action, and meaning.

Because I disagree with the media’s saturated focus on the “important” people and things — presidents, presidential hopefuls, wealthy CEOs, celebrities, corporations, the economy — I aim to transform the meaning of “important” as it is constructed in today’s mainstream press. Every person in this world builds the history of society, even if he or she spends day after day at home, in front of a computer. That alone says something very important about the world we live in.

Another conviction of mine, as a human being sharing the world with others, is that we are much too disconnected from one another. Overwhelmed with the overload of technology, capitalism and endless daily responsibilities, we have forgotten how to interact with, and care for, each other. This prevents us from having an understanding of people and things that might be different from ourselves. In an attempt at creating more love in this world, I write with an aim to help us all understand each other a little bit better.
